China Publisher 37 Mobile Games showed that the mobile RPG 'Heroes Tales', which was released in Korea on July 1, last year, recorded the highest sales in Korea.
On the 8th, mobile market research firm Sensor Tower announced on its official blog about sales status after the launch of Heroes Tales. The number announced this time is based on Google Play and Apple App Store sales from July 1 to October 31 last year.
According to the report, Heroes Tales recorded cumulative sales of $300 million (about 415.9 billion won), of which 44.5%of them occurred in Korea. The share of sales is 44.5%in Korea, 15.2%in China, and 14%in Japan.
The sensor tower was heard for the reason why Heroes Tales became popular in Korea, because of its familiar game characteristics and domestic celebrities, such as fairy tale stories, characters, quests, missions, and arena. In addition, the characteristics of the Korean market with high demand for RPG genres also affected.
In fact, from July 1 last year to October 31 of this year, the No. 1 genre of Korea's mobile game sales is RPG and the proportion is 63.1%. In addition, Heroes Tales was ranked 5th in domestic mobile RPG sales following Odin, Lineage W, Lineage M, and Lineage 2M. In response, Sensor Tower explained, Heroes Tales is the only overseas publisher game among the games in the 5 War.
